Community Engagement

Screens

One way to keep everyone in the loop.

A screen by the door, in the foyer or in the hall makes what’s happening visible to everyone who walks past. It’s one tool for engagement — not the whole answer — but a good one when it’s done well.

We started with shuls, and it’s still a core part of what we do.

What a community puts on a screen

  • What’s on

The week ahead at a glance — shiurim, social events, kids’ activities — updated in minutes from any phone or laptop.

  • A visible welcome

A warm greeting for newcomers and visitors, with a clear prompt for what to do next.

  • Simchas & celebrations

Mazel tovs, new arrivals and milestones, shared with everyone who walks in.

  • Volunteers & appeals

Ask for help where people will actually see it, and show what their help achieved.

  • Zmanim, parasha & minyan times

For shuls that want them: calculated from your preferred calendar and rolling over automatically each day.

  • Yahrzeits & remembrance

Daily yahrzeits and a digital memorial board, with Hebrew and English names and dates.

Not just shuls — the same setup works in community centres, schools, care homes, nurseries and clubs.

One system, wherever a screen helps

Most communities start with one screen by the entrance and add more over time — the main hall, the beit midrash, the women’s section, a simcha room. Every screen is managed together, and each can show exactly what that space needs.

The guided service

From first conversation to live screen.

Clear steps, no surprises.

  1. 1 · A conversation

A free, no-obligation chat — by phone or in person — about your space, your community and what the screen needs to do. We’ll tell you honestly whether a screen is worth it for you.

  2. 2 · Design & preview

We design your screen in your style and build a working preview with your real content, so you can see and adjust it before committing to anything.

  3. 3 · Build & content setup

We connect your calendars, spreadsheets and feeds, set up your content and schedule, and prepare the portal for the changes you’ll make yourself.

  4. 4 · Plug in and go live

We post you a small player, pre-configured for your screen. Connect it to your TV’s HDMI port and your wifi, and it comes online on its own. Five minutes, no technician, nothing to mount.

  5. 5 · Ongoing support

We monitor every screen remotely, push software updates and fix faults from our end while your subscription is active. You update the content yourself in the portal; design changes are a message away.

Something more involved?

Multiple sites, an integration with your own systems, an unusual layout or a particular workflow — tell us what you are trying to do and we will understand it properly and come back with a proposal.

Tell us what you need

One simple subscription

₪267 per screen, per month. One fee covers the plug-and-play player, the software, your content updates and our support. No installation charge, no fees for changing your content, no long tie-in. You supply the screen — any modern TV will do. Many communities cover the cost with a single sponsorship. Bigger or more unusual requirements? We’ll scope them and send a proposal.

Common questions

Is this just about screens?

No. Screens are one tool. The aim is more people genuinely involved in your community — through ideas, through how you welcome and communicate, and, in development, a way to measure it. If screens aren’t the right answer for you, we’ll say so.

What do screens cost?

Each screen is ₪267 per month, covering the plug-and-play player, the software, content updates and support. There’s no installation charge because there’s nothing to install — you connect the player yourself. We’ll give you clear numbers before you commit to anything.

What hardware do we need?

Just a screen you already own — any modern TV with an HDMI port — plus power and wifi. We send a small plug-and-play player that connects to it. You keep and mount the screen; we look after everything on it.

How do we set it up?

Plug the player into your TV’s HDMI port and connect it to wifi. It comes online pre-configured for your screen — usually within a few minutes. No technician, no wiring, nothing to fix to the wall.

How does the content stay up to date?

Wherever possible we feed screens from systems you already use — calendars, spreadsheets, the Jewish calendar and other feeds. For manual changes there’s a simple web portal you can use from a phone or laptop.

Can one screen show Hebrew and English?

Yes. We build genuinely bilingual layouts with correct right-to-left text, Hebrew fonts and date formatting — either side by side or alternating, whichever suits the content.

Can the screen earn money?

Yes. You can sell advertising slots to nearby businesses or run sponsor messages between your own content. For many communities this covers the subscription and more.

What happens if a screen breaks?

We monitor every player remotely and usually know before you do. Software faults are fixed from our end while your subscription is active. If a player itself fails, we replace it.

Do you only work with shuls?

No. Shuls are where we started and they’re still a core part of what we do, but the same approach works for community centres, schools, care homes, nurseries and clubs. For shuls we add zmanim, the weekly parasha, minyan times, tefilla reminders and yahrzeits.

Can we see it before committing?

Yes. We build a working preview of your actual screen, with your content and style, before you order anything.

We have more complex requirements — can you help?

Yes. If you need more than the standard setup — several sites, an integration with your own systems, a bespoke layout or a particular workflow — tell us what you are trying to achieve. We will take the time to understand it and put a proposal together.

We used to be constantly printing things and pinning them to a noticeboard. Now we change the content from home, often and easily. Getting it set up was easy, Josh couldn’t have been more helpful, and since it was set up we have literally never had any issue.
